I already said it would be more logical. For Israel, simply buy more used F-15s and upgrade them. Better than buying a new F-15EX. At least I'm not alone...

My guess is that the F-15EX fleet will join the existing F-15E fleet. However, it will likely be upgraded to a similar standard.

But for Israel and the US Air Force second-hand F-15C. I doubt they would be very interested. Because they need fewer F-15Ds.
If I am not mistaken, the average age of F-15C is about 35 years. I doubt the Israelis want them.

Thanks for the attention to the EX weight gain. First I heard it was 6000 lbs heavier empty, I wonder where the extra weight comes from? For 9,000 pounds more internal fuel, you pretty much mean the CFT, right?
My understanding is that the F-15C carries 13,500 pounds of fuel internally. I've long wondered if Boeing would add it to the EX, especially since the second cabin takes up more space. However, I can't find anywhere that adds extra (actual internal) fuel. Frankly, it's disappointing. But since they don't matter for CFT flight, I'm guessing there won't be much of a drag/performance loss with them. This is strange because every F-15C I see flies with 2 bags. When asked about this, a local F-15C pilot shrugged and said, "We can always hit them, we can't do that with the CFT."

The F-15EX is basically an F-15E aircraft with new internals (F110s instead of F100s, new mission computer, new displays, new ECM, new MAWS and of course FBW). The F-15C weighs about 31,000 pounds. F-15E weighs 34,000 without CFT and 37,000 with CFT. Yes, the extra fuel is all in the CFT (the F-15D only has 12400 IIRC). Operationally, the F-15E flies with two underwing bags in addition to the CFT. Find the F-15E air show without the CFT. This is the F-15EX without the CFT, which will have good low speed handling for air show performance.
