I don't like them (I don't like the word *** - too much in today's world). The shooting world is divided when it comes to this company's pistols. Some shooters will only buy Glocks. Others wouldn't buy one if it was the only gun in the store.

Why such division? I have reviewed this situation before in some of my other Glock reviews, links below. Suffice to say, some people rate Gaston's famous weapon highly, while others not so much. they feel

To divide with smaller hands. They are too simplistic for others. There is no thumb safety for other shooters. Some even say they are expensive.

However, if you're on the other side of the aisle, they're pretty much the best all-around weapon. There isn't too much gray area with these guns. However, one thing many can agree on is that the M43 is a good concealed handgun.

Glock is an Austrian company that has grown from a small appliance manufacturer to one of the largest gun manufacturers in the world. An estimated 65% of US law enforcement agencies use Glock pistols, and their share worldwide is not inconsiderable.

Why The G43 Glock Could Be The Most Dangerous Gun On The Planet

The Glock 43 9mm pistol took the shooting world a bit by surprise when it appeared in April 2015. A powerful and loud pistol from Glock, it was the company's first single-stack 9mm. Demand for this weapon was high among glucophiles. Many were disappointed, if I remember correctly, that Glock introduced the M42 .380 before the 9mm version came out.

In any case, it was a good seller and remains so to this day, although I would imagine that the Double-Stack 43X put a bit of a dent in its sales. Many people would prefer 10 rounds in a uniform fit 43X magazine, as opposed to the standard 6 rounds in the 43, given the option, even if the grip is wider. At least there are mags extended to 43, one of which is pictured.

So now we know where the company came from and how a Gen 3 gun differs from, say, a Gen 4. This is all basic knowledge needed to discuss Glock guns with any understanding of terms, generations, etc. Weapon model in front of us now? Why did Glock decide to release its first subcompact 9mm single stack? In a word, demand.

Glock 42 Vs 43. Which Is Better For Concealed Carry? [2022]

The 43 was the first Glock service caliber that could be carried in a trouser pocket. I know some guys who do that. Weighing in at 20 ounces loaded and just four and a quarter inches tall, it fits in a pocket holster. (Never carry a pocket pistol in your pocket alone – it goes in a holster).

Another question I get asked from time to time is, "What generation is the 43rd?", to which I answer, "Theirs." The 43 is technically a Gen 4. But at a quick glance, it looks like a Gen 5 without the finger slots. But there is no 5th gen ambidextrous stop/release or nDLC finish, but there is the Marksman barrel.

So this was the precursor to the Gen 5 rifles. It's one of the most popular Glocks out there and they sell a lot of them. At least my friends who own them really love them, no matter what generation they are from.

Here are some pictures I took of the 43's - I didn't take many because once you see a Glock, it's really nice to see them all.

Glock 43: The Best Concealed Carry Gun In The World?

The beveled firing pin block helps recoil a little easier due to its beveled edges. Several other manufacturers have adopted a similar block.

Someone who carries a concealed 43 might want to train with it regularly. Or, I could rephrase that to say that anyone who carries a concealed handgun should practice with it regularly, of course.

My point is that smaller guns require a bit more practice drawing and shooting than larger guns, at least in my experience. I've driven both and at times had a bit more trouble keeping my hand on the grip of a subcompact than some of its bigger siblings. The conundrum is that smaller guns are easier to conceal than larger guns, but sometimes more difficult to catch, draw, and shoot well.

Some people just shoot bigger guns better because they can get all their fingers on the grip and the longer sight radius helps accuracy. There is also the feeling that larger guns tend to exhibit less noticeable recoil than their smaller cousins due to their increased weight.

Combat Carry Package For Glock 43/43x/48

Regardless, if you can easily draw and shoot 6 rounds of 9mm, the 43 is a good candidate for concealed carry. To paraphrase the Beatles, all you need is love, but practice. And I know some of you love to practice. don't they all?

One last factor you may have to overcome is reluctance. I mentioned this above but I wanted to take a moment. When you're shooting 19oz and 9mm with target loads, it's no big deal. But switch to your chosen case and suddenly that little piece of plastic and metal takes on a personality, sometimes not so nice. Some small arms can be simple.

Now, 9mm tends not to be as aggressive to the rear as, say, .40 S&W or .45 ACP, but defensive 9mm loads can still be a handful, especially if it's sensitive to recoil. I've found that starting to shoot my favorite 9mm shot of 4.8 grain Long Shot powder targets under the nose of a fused Lee 124 grain round, lit by the Pucci SP primer is a good way to start adjusting to recoil.

Gradual transfer to factory FMJ rounds and then to full defense loads has worked for me and others in the past. I'm not particularly sensitive to recoil, but it seems the older I get, the more it bothers me. So I'm always ready for a slight strain on the wrist. I'll touch more on my actual experience with this gun and back off when I shoot it (below).

Comparing The Glock 43x To The Glock 43: In Depth Analysis

I braved the weather in my wild garden. A cold front is moving in and it's a little tight outside, but my desire to shoot this little guy overcame my reservations. I shot my aforementioned load, which is generally pretty accurate in any gun it's shot in, and also the excellent Fiocchi 124-grain JHP. I've had a lot of luck with this load as well.

My loader was disappointed with this gun, which was a surprise, but the Fucci did well. Here are the goals.

Vertical strings are noticeable, although this is more often seen with rifles than pistols. Anyway, all the holes are in the paper. He just didn't like my ammo. And yes, it is a bullet load. I put a lot of bullets through my Glock 30 in .45 ACP. As long as you clean the barrel regularly, you shouldn't have any problems.

I can't officially endorse the use of lead bullets due to Glock's policy, but hard bullets aren't usually the culprit. Never shoot plain lead sponge pellets in any multiple gun. These pellets will melt the lead and create a mess that can quickly lead to a potential overpressure situation.

Glock To Release 10 Round, G43x Pistol

For that matter, the same can happen down the barrel with a conventional rifle. Avoid regular lead bullets if you can unless you shoot very light target loads, and never shoot them in a Glock barrel. I just say take a hard cut and then clean it up. Only you can decide what kind of bullet you put through your Glock.

JHP's career was a different story. He kicked pretty hard and pulled the gun out of the holster with each shot. I shoot .44 magnum loads now and am used to recoil. I'm just doing a subjective comparison between the two 9mm loads. You can tell it hit something a little stronger than a 1000 fps target load when I put the Fiocchi down.

Looking at the target, it looks like I have two groups: one in the center of the target and one a little lower to the left. It was interesting, to say the least. I used a grip that put the front sight just below the little black box and shot about 20 yards from the bag.

I often tell myself that in order to carry an effective load, it will have to throw a little
